When you’re looking for the best place to retire cheap, you are going to be visiting a lot of airports. And that also means eating at a lot of airports.

Just like every other airport in the world klia 2 in Kuala Lumpur the food choices are a blend of overpriced chains, over priced fast food or over priced local restaurants. I don’t mind overpriced food, but what about that $5 a day food budget? On travel days it’s almost impossible to keep that budget. What’s a budget minded travel blogger to do?

I scoured all around the massive klia 2 terminal and found the cheapest food. Nope, it wasn’t McDonald’s, it was instant noodles!

Bowl of instant noodles can be found at WH Smith. WH Smith is located on the bottom floor by the movie lounge. You can get scalding hot water at water fountains in the nearby restroom area. $1 (36 myr) for dinner definitely helps keep that budget in line!
